Welcome to the Auburn Sigma Kappa Blog!

We are so excited that you chose to see what we are all about. In this blog, Megan Hajduk (Webmaster) and Summer Ortiz (Triangle Correspondent) will be writing here to inform everyone what is happening in our sorority. Each week, we will be picking a lucky girl to spotlight in our sister of the week, where we will share a little bit about the members of Theta Xi! We want to show people what amazing things our sisters are doing. Then every month, we will be posting to describe what the chapter did as a whole. Keep an eye out in the next couple of weeks for the montly post to see what awesome stuff we did this month, and last semester, including participating in A Walk to End Alzhimer’s (we raised a little over $19,000!!!), our socials and formal, and of course recruitment and our awesome out of the this world bid day!! We hope that you enjoy what you read, and see all the wonderful aspects of Sigma Kappa that we are fortunate enough to experience. We thought these posts would be great for the parents of sisters of our chapter, other chapters, and even other memebrs of the Panhellenic community to understand why we love the Theta Xi chapter so very much!

Here is a little bit about our chapter: The Theta Xi Chapter at Auburn University was founded in February 1989. In 2009 we moved with all of the other Panhellenic sororities at Auburn University to The Village dormitories, where we have a sorority hall that houses over 40 of our members in apartment-style suites and a chapter room where we have our weekly chapter meetings and other sisterhood events. Each year we raise thousands of dollars for philanthropies through events like Sigma Hold’em. We also host A Walk to End Alzheimer’s which is also a huge success!
